At Florida Aerospace Avionics Technician Training Center, our Avionics Technician program teaches students the proper use of basic tools and test equipment, electronic theory, and provides hands-on training for the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic and avionics systems.
Participants learn to read and use aircraft maintenance manuals, as well as interpret aircraft commercial drawings and electronic schematics.
Avionics technicians are experts who repair and maintain a plane’s electronic instruments, including radio communication devices, radar systems, and navigation aids. They handle everything from running cables and mounting antennas to connecting navigation instruments and engine monitoring systems. They also install radios, autopilots, and passenger entertainment systems.
